Muelhens German Colognes

The first fragrances brand of the company Muelhens dates back to the end of the 18th century; in 1994, the Mülhens brand became the property of Wella; in 2003, Wella was bought by Procter & Gamble, who sold the Mülhens business to Mäurer & Wirtz in 2006. We all keep the few last drops of a discontinued fragrance that we used to adore. We know what you are referring to when talking about the sensual accords of a perfume of yore conjuring a certain feeling of freshness and slowly revealing a harmony you are unable to find in any other fragrance. Mülhens has reinvented its old Tosca and 4711 colognes just for you!

The 4711 brand, originally created in 1792, has plenty of modern versions; The Tosca perfume for women (1921) is still in production. Here's a list of the nicest colognes by Muelhens:

  • The 4711 Original Eau de Cologne by Muelhens-the orange oil, lemon, bergamot, and peach are very intense in the opening, but soon fade out clearing the way for the lily, jasmine, rose, cyclamen, and melon; 4711 develops in a luscious way: the musk, sandalwood, cedar, vetiver, and patchouli in the base ensures its complete seductiveness;
  • The 4711 Acqua Colonia by Muelhens under Mäurer & Wirtz -If you prefer something more modern, sweet and sensual, same brand, same perfumer, we recommend this line of colognes; available fragrances include Royal Riesling, Vetyver & Bergamot, Lemon & Ginger, Lavender & Thyme, Juniper Berry & Marjoram, and Melissa & Verbena;
  • The Tosca cologne for women by Muelhens-a wonderfully refreshing cologne, Tosca lasts very well; it smells like clove, jasmine, ylang ylang, and rose with notes of amber, vanilla, musk, bergamot, and lemon; floral and woody, Tosca is a mild aldehyde fragrance featuring a calming aroma.

The golden faux baroque motifs featured by the turquoise label of the Original 4711 bottle, contrasting with the gold-red cap have become the iconic image of the house of Muelhens. The 4711 versions launched by Mäurer & Wirtz come in luxurious retro flacons available as cologne bottles and spray; The modern twist of these flacons lays mainly in color: creamy white for Royal Riesling, red for Rhubarb & Clary Sage, green for Melissa & Verbena, yellow for Lemon and Ginger, etc.
